WONDERFUL VINTAGE OCCUPIED JAPAN PORCELAIN CHRISTMAS ANGEL MUSICIAN FIGURINE. What a lovely old Holiday decoration. Many ceramic companies produced a full line of Holiday, Birthday and decorative Angel and pixie figurines during the 1940's-1960's, along with Lefton, Inarco, Napco and other factories of that time. It was considered the "Golden Age" of ceramic and porcelain Holiday decorations, for pieces such as these! Beautiful detailing into the cast porcelain mold. Rich, hand painted coloration. She holds a violin in her hands. Gold accents to her dress, hair band and instrument. The angel girl is in very good vintage condition, free of chips or cracks, as shown in the photos. She stands about 5 1/2" tall, and is ink stamped on the bottom, "MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN". She would have been produced shortly after WW II, and imported to the U.S. for sale in specialty stores across the country.
