WONDERFUL, VERY UNUSUAL STRAND OF VINTAGE CZECH GLASS BEAD CHRISTMAS TREE GARLAND. What beautiful old glass beads. These would be perfect for your vintage feather tree. Very unusual style and design. The shapes and colors are quite beautiful. Rich, vibrant coloration, in shades of silver, chartreuse, and un-silvered pale green. There are three different size beads on this strand. There are the extra long, thin un-silvered pale green Czech beads, that measure about 1 1/4" each, single chartreuse colored beads that measure about 1/2" each, and the single cobalt silver and chartreuse colored beads, that measure about 3/8" each. Again, a very unusual strand. The beads are all in very good vintage condition, as shown in the photos. We have tried to remove any damaged or broken beads, so they are ready to be used and enjoyed. This lovely strand measures about 59" long, has a cardboard star and a metal twist tie at each end. Each glass bead would have been hand blown in countries such as Germany, Czechoslovakia or Japan before and after WW II. Imports into the U.S. then began again in the late 1940's, into the 1950's. Many Czech glass beads can be much earlier, dating pre-war. For more information and history on vintage Christmas items, visit The Golden Glow of Christmas Past web site.
