WONDERFUL VINTAGE FRANKOMA POTTERY MAYAN-AZTEC DESIGN LARGE SERVING BOWL #209, IN THE RICH PRAIRIE GREEN COLORED GLAZING. What a beautiful piece of pottery for your table. We do not see much of this pattern very often. Rich, vibrant coloration. Beautiful detailing into the mold. The Mayan-Aztec pattern was introduced into the Frankoma line in the 1930's. This lovely piece is in very good vintage condition, free of chips or cracks, as shown in the photos. It measures about 11 5/8" long, 7 1/4" wide, 2 1/4" tall. Marked on the bottom into the mold, " FRANKOMA 209". This Oklahoma based pottery produced so many beautiful pieces in their 70+ year history, production beginning in 1933, until the remaining family members sold the business in 2004. The pottery has now gone out of business, with all remaining stock and all molds, sold at auction. Very sad to see this happen to another American pottery company.....For more information and history on vintage Christmas items, visit The Golden Glow of Christmas Past web site.
