WONDERFUL VINTAGE NAPCO PORCELAIN, CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY ANGEL GIRL PLANTER / CANDY CONTAINER FIGURINE. What a lovely old Holiday decoration. Many ceramic companies produced a full line of Holiday, Birthday and decorative Angel and pixie figurines during the 1940's-1960's, along with Lefton, Inarco, Art Ceramics, and other factories of that time. It was considered the "Golden Age" of ceramic and porcelain Holiday decorations, for pieces such as these! Beautiful detailing into the cast porcelain mold. Rich, hand painted coloration. Heavy spaghetti trim accents her hooded coat, the collar, cuffs and bottom. Gold trim to her wings and the ribbon on the gaily wrapped Christmas package that she holds in her hands, along with a green holly wreath. The Christmas angel girl is in very good vintage condition, free of chips or cracks, as shown in the photos. She can be used as a festive Holiday planter, for small cut flowers, or as a candy container. She measures about 5 1/4" wide", 4 3/4" tall, 3" deep. She has her original silver paper tag, "A NAPCO CERAMIC JAPAN", and is numbered, ink stamped on the bottom, "S715B". She would have been imported to the U.S. for sale in specialty stores across the country.
