WONDERFUL VINTAGE NAPCO PORCELAIN, FOURTH OF JULY HOLIDAY GIRL BELL. What a beautiful old Holiday decoration. We do not see July fourth bells very often. Many ceramic companies produced a full line of Holiday, Birthday, Angel and pixie figurines during this time period. Holiday ceramic and porcelain figurines and bells such as these were sold in the local five and dime stores, from small towns to large metro cities after WWII, when exports from Japan began and trade was established again with the U.S. That would have been late 1940's, into the 1950's....a "Golden Age" of Christmas and Holiday decorations. Rich, vibrant hand painted coloration. Beautiful detailing into the porcelain mold. Our little July girl holds a red fire cracker, and a white and blue stripe fabric, with one gold star in the center in her hands. Gold accents to the spaghetti trim of her dress, the raised stars on her dress, her collar and "JULY" on the front of her dress. The July Fourth girl bell is in very good vintage condition, free of chips or cracks, as shown in the photos. Bell ringer is intact. She measures about 4 1/4" tall. She has her original silver paper tag, ""A NAPCO CERAMIC"", and is numbered, ink stamped, "S984".
