WONDERFUL VINTAGE NAPCO PORCELAIN, JANUARY HOLIDAY ANGEL GIRL FIGURINE. What a lovely old Holiday decoration. Many ceramic companies produced a full line of Holiday, Birthday and decorative Angel and pixie figurines during the 1940's-1960's, along with Lefton, Inarco, Napco and other factories of that time. It was considered the "Golden Age" of ceramic and porcelain Holiday decorations, for pieces such as these! Beautiful detailing into the cast porcelain mold. Heavy spaghetti trim to the cuffs and hemline of her long, flowing dress. Rich, hand painted coloration. Gold accents to her halo, wings, spaghetti trim, her dress, and the lettering, "JANUARY ANGEL", on the base. She holds a clock, ready to strike midnight for the New Year in her one hand, holds up one finger on her other hand, one minute to go to the New Year!!! The January angel girl is in very good vintage condition, free of chips or cracks, as shown in the photos. She measures about 4 1/2" tall. She has her original silver paper tag, "A NAPCO CERAMIC JAPAN", and is numbered, ink stamped on the bottom, "A1361". She would have been produced in Japan, and imported to the U.S. for sale in specialty stores across the country.
